Certification Stages

Stage 1 - Laboratory Test Report & Certificate

Stage 1a - Laboratory Certification undertaken within the DARL facility (EIAC & ILAC) in accordance with ISO or ASTM standards

Stage 1b - DARL verification of Laboratory Certification undertaken in a third party accredited and traceable laboratory (EIAC, ILAC, UKAS) (subject to third party body acceptance by DARL) .

Stage 2 - Factory/Manufacturing Facility Audit 

Stage 2a - DARL's team of engineers and inspectors will carry out an inspection and audit of the product manufacturing facility to ensure the registered product is meeting with the exact design and specification of the laboratory-tested sample.

Stage 2b - Third party verification of the production line specification and design from an accredited and trusted independent auditing and inspection body (subject to third party body acceptance by DARL) 

Stage 3 - Site Inspection

DARL's team of engineers and inspectors will undertake a site inspection of delivered and installed units to verify the specifications and quality is the same as audited per Stages 1 & 2.

Stage 4 - In-situ Site Testing

Site commission testing of the installed products in line with the appropriate ISO or ASTM test standard to verify the site testing performance is in line with the expected criteria (with appropriate allowance made for site tolerances (flanking etc).

Stage 5 - Whole Building (or room) Compliance

If multiple acoustic elements are used in a composite configuration, the entire building (or room, or series of rooms) can be assessed and audited for acoustic compliance in line with Local, Federal, National or International Regulations and Criteria; giving the entire building it's own digital passport and certification.
